We just got back from a short walk around Arrecife, Lanzarote. All the businesses were closed as it is Sunday, but we saw on a shut food cart another version of the words I observed yesterday in Santa Cruz in Tenerife. It seems that this cart must sell what we used to call "cocktail franks" or maybe it's just a small cart. As with everywhere else the Canary Islanders seem to be catering to an international crowd. It is sad to me as it seems everywhere the local food has been displaced very often by pizza's, hot dogs, and hamburgers. 

I'll be posting a blog entry about this mornings fantastic visit to other worldly "Fire Mountains", essentially a live volcano with scenery that rivals but is better than in Hawaii. We had an hour after lunch to go into town, and that's where I took the attached picture--just in case you were to question my recollection of Spanish. Sorry that the gentleman on the recliner wasn't you. We would be having a great time together on this cruise.

See you in a couple of weeks. We get back on Tuesday the 13th. Tomorrow will begin two days in Morocco and then all Spain for the rest of the trip.

i don't know what is a parros. Parra is a grapewine; It is certainly not "perros,'  which would mean 'hot dogs.'
